Connect your own Razorpay account to collect online payments; how Slaby subscriptions are billed.
Your own payment gateway
Online buyer payments settle directly into your own Razorpay account — Slaby is not a payment aggregator and never holds your money. Connect it in Settings → Payments by entering your Razorpay Key ID, Key Secret and Webhook Secret, then add a webhook in your Razorpay dashboard pointing at /api/webhooks/razorpay-tenant on your store domain (subscribed to payment.captured and payment.failed).
Once connected, prepaid orders and partial-COD advances can be paid online. Amounts are always taken from the order's frozen total — never from the browser — and a payment is only marked paid after its signature is cryptographically verified, so a payment can't be faked.
Security
Your gateway secrets are write-only: they're stored securely, never shown back, never sent to any browser, and never written to logs. Each store's payments are isolated — one store's setup can never affect another's.
Slaby subscription billing
Your Slaby plan (Starter/Growth/Pro) is billed separately, through Slaby's own Razorpay, via a subscription mandate you authorise. This is distinct from the gateway you connect for buyer payments. There's no commission on your own storefront sales — you keep 100%.
