Orders & checkout
Cart, checkout, payment methods and the order lifecycle from placed to fulfilled.
Cart & checkout
Buyers add products (and, for variant products, a chosen variant) to a cart. At checkout they select or add a delivery address — a valid address is required, with proper validation — and choose a payment method.
All money is calculated server-side from your catalogue: quantities are clamped to MOQ and pack rules, tiers and any negotiated price are applied, and the order total is frozen at placement so later catalogue changes never alter a placed order.
Payment methods
You control which methods are offered from your settings (for example, COD can be limited by order value or pincode).
- Prepaid — pay the full amount online (see the Payments module).
- Cash on delivery (COD) — pay at the door.
- Partial COD — an online advance now, the balance as cash on delivery.
- Credit — for approved buyers on credit terms.
Order lifecycle
Orders move through Placed → Confirmed → Fulfilled (or Cancelled). Buyers see a timeline and can download a GST invoice. Your admin order list shows one clear row per item and every order's frozen snapshot.
